Red Bike launches first NKY stations in Covington


Cincy Red Bike officially expanded its reach across the river June 23.

The bike sharing service, which allows users to rent bicycles to ride throughout the city’s urban core for a daily or annual fee, launched six new stations in Covington. By the end of next week, Red Bike will have 50 bike share stations throughout Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky as stations open soon in Newport and Bellevue. Others opened last week in Northside and at Cincinnati State’s campus. Red Bike opened 30 bike share stations in Cincinnati last fall and has exceeded growth projections with 955 members and more than 46,000 rides since then.
